2) Consortia: When a consortium is considered to be sufficiently stable and long-lived, the provisions for accreditation can be the same as for multi-site organisations. As long as there is adequate provision for replication of e-GIF processes across all the consortium members, accreditation should be given.
Where transient consortia cannot be usefully accredited, the individual businesses and organisations will each bring their own pre-existing accreditation status to the whole. It will be the judgement of the public sector customer whether to accept such a proposition in their specific circumstance as being adequate to ensure an e-GIF compliant solution.

3) Multi-sites and virtual teams: The prime issue is whether the policies and processes that are accredited at a primary site are replicated at the other sites (or within the different business units or virtual teams). The accreditation will be performed at the central location (customer nominated). Part of the accreditation visit will assess the extent to which the assessor is convinced that replication of processes across the multiple sites (or virtual team) is sound. Where only one site visit is necessary, no additional change will be made. In cases where extra visits are necessary, each incremental site/ location visit will incur an additional charge of 75% of the standard (or discounted) accreditation charge.

4) Small enterprises: These are here defined as those that employ 1-9 staff in the UK (or engaged elsewhere in work for the UK) and less than £1 million UK turnover (all sectors, as reported in annual accounts).

5) Compliance Assessment Service: Significant discounts are available for 2 or more seat subscriptions. Please see www.egifcompliance.org
