Be an e-GIF Registered Practitioner

You can become an e-GIF Registered Practitioner by depositing a validated skills record in the Authority's on-line Skills Tracker system. Skills Tracker allows e-GIF Practitioners of all levels to maintain their independent record of e-GIF competences and find approved training courses to develop their skills in areas relevant to the e-GIF. Third parties, with your permission, can also access your skills record to confirm your Practitioner status.

The benefits of Skills Tracker registration and achieving Registered Practitioner status are:

  • entry into the database of recognised e-GIF Practitioners
  • a CPD/Lifelong Learning record of skills development
  • clear guidance as to the skills for each level of certification and details of appropriate skills development requirements and options
  • mapping of training courses to skills
  • determine your readiness for certification

To begin with Skills Tracker registration, download and complete the order form with the registration fee information and fax or send it to the address on the form. Our administrative team will send you a unique Skills Tracker username and password by email. Order form (pdf - 134K)

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is not necessary to complete the order form if you are registering under the auspices of the sponsor programme. Please ask your organisation's prime contact to request a username and password on your behalf from our administration at eGIF@ncc.co.uk. The list of sponsors can be found via the Sponsors link on the menu bar and at the foot of the Home page.

Accessing and using Skills Tracker

Once you have your Skills Tracker username and password, access Skills Tracker.

Each Practitioner has their own Skills Tracker record; it is confidential to the Practitioner who may issue Guest Certificates that allowed the record to be reviewed by others. Contact administration at eGIF@ncc.co.uk for Guest Certificates.
